Free Sunday Streets Kayaking Sampler | SF

Drift, paddle and splash around at City Kayak’s free kayaking sampler held every Sunday Streets day at 11:30 a.m.

Perfect for beginners curious about the sport, you get 30 minutes of paddling in a protected area that also comes with a basic lesson, kayak (single or double), paddle and a life jacket. Get there early though, as no reservations are taken in advance for the 20 free available seats. They also advise bringing water, waterproof pants, sun protection and a windbreaker.

The next Sunday Streets is July 10, so take advantage of this introduction to a sport where you can splash around, hopefully stay afloat and satisfy the meandering mariner within you.
