Free Swedish Fiction Talk + Book Celebration (Corte Madera)

Join Vendela Vida and David Katznelson to celebrate their new anthology of Swedish fiction, Out of the Darkness: Classic Short Fiction from Sweden, published by the University of Minnesota Press. 

The anthology is filled with stories by well-known Swedish writers, ranging from August Strindberg to Selma Lagerlöf. In addition, Out of the Darkness features other great writers from Sweden who were previously unknown in the U.S. and whose work is translated and presented in this collection for the first time in English.

Vendela and David will be joined in conversation by moderator Linda Haverty Rugg, Professor Emerita in the UC Berkeley Scandinavian Department.
