Free Theater: Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie” | SF

American Conservatory Theater’s 2013-14 season fellows will captivate audiences with a distinct take on The Glass Menagerie, Tennessee Williams’ memory play focusing on the complexity of family and the difficulty of accepting reality.

Faded Southern belle Amanda Wingfield scrapes by with her two adult children in their cramped St. Louis apartment. She pins all of her hopes for her family’s future on finding a “gentleman caller” for her shy and anxious daughter Laura, and she enlists her restless son Tom for help. Tom’s recollection of what follows will create a living family photo album, exploring lingering memories that simultaneously haunt and comfort us.

>> Please note all tickets are sold out.
