Free “Right of Wave” Ocean Safety & Surf Awareness Day at Linda Mar Beach (Pacifica)

Calling all NorCal surfers, free-divers, open water sports enthusiasts and beach-goers! We’re stoked to bring you the third annual Right of Wave: Ocean Safety and Surf Awareness Day on Sunday, September 22th at Linda Mar Beach. You’re invited to attend a free day of workshops and activities that will empower you to safely navigate the ocean, improve your surfing and watersports abilities, and build connections in the community.

Open to all ages and abilities, this public event will feature a full day of education and participation centered around safety, conservancy, and fun, hosted by experts from California and Hawaii. Workshop topics include ocean safety and risk management, CPR, breathing and breath holding for surf performance, surf etiquette and board control, water quality testing, surf photography and more! You’ll also have the opportunity to meet local nonprofits to find out how to get involved. Prizes including tickets to future full-day apnea and surf safety training immersion, sponsor merchandise, and more will be offered up in the opportunity prize drawing.
