Freespace Pop-Up Community Center
Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.
Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.
Join a yoga class led by Brandon. Brandon’s classes tend to follow a slow and intentional hatha flow highlighting an insistent (maybe even annoying) focus on breath.
The class also has a tendency to get a bit silly, so get ready to let your adulthood and adultery drift away with a restorative lunch-time yoga class.
Also, wear your best Lululemon outfit, because there will be a reporter from an international news station filming the class as part of a report on freespace.
