To celebrate SF becoming the first major city US city to ban fur, you’re invited to come out and celebrate at the Berkeley Animal Rights Center.

The ban takes effect January 1, 2019 and applies to all apparel and accessories using real fur, including coats, hats and gloves. However, vintage shops, pawn shops and nonprofits, will still be allowed to sell second hand furs.

In celebration of the historic occasion, the Direct Action Everywhere, Vegans of the Bay, and Berkeley Animal Rights Center are hosting a party with live music and free vegan food. Everyone is welcome to attend.

P and A Catering will be serving delicious, freshly-made vegan enchiladas, lasagna and fried mozzarella.

Schedule:
6:30 pm: Food and fun
7:30 pm: Why DxE + Presentation
8:00 pm: Q&A
8:30 pm: Hangout

DxE Friday Night Hangouts are an informal social setting for community, networking, productivity and liberation. Stop in for any portion or hang out all night.
