Friday Nights at the de Young | Fall 2018
For the next six weeks, Friday Nights at the de Young offers a dynamic line-up of dance performances and lessons. This month features salsa, tango, bhangra, and urban street dance.
Join them for an evening with the street dance theater company, Embodiment Project (EP) featuring original music performed live by Joey Mintz, a multi-instrumentalist who focuses on live beat-making alongside Sandu Ndu and guavalove (of Oakland afro-indie-soul group Bells Atlas).
Embodiment Project is quickly gaining critical acclaim for their seamless intersection of high-energy street dance, live song, choreo-poetry, and theater. Get ready to learn some new moves.James Turrell’s “Three Gems” open during Friday Nights
