Event Details

Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, talks and more. Season Eight is every Friday night from March 30 – November 23, 2012.

This weekly after-hours art “happening” changes every week, but typically includes a mix of live music, dance performances, film screenings, panel discussions, lectures, artist demonstrations, special performances, hands-on art activities and more. Plus the observation tower is open until 8:15pm.

May 18, 2012 – Young at Art
Please join in celebrating the creativity of San Francisco students at Young at Art, Friday, May 18, 5:00–8:45 pm.

Performances will include the national award–winning Washington High School Chorus, the A.P. Giannini Jazz Band, the GWHS Dance Company, and the Lowell High School Orchestra. More than 1,000 works of art by children from San Francisco schools will be on diplay for your viewing.

Walk in and experience all public programs for free. But to view the permanent collection or special exhibitions, admission tickets are required.
