First Friday Concert Series | Oakland

Every First Friday after Art Murmur in Oakland, The Uptown holds a free concert featuring local musicians and beyond covering indie rock, electronica, hip hop and everything in between.

There is no cover, doors open at 6 pm and the show starts at 9 pm.

The Uptown Nightclub is closed as of November 6, 2014.

• Religious Girls is a three piece experimental pop band from Oakland, CA.
• Mister Loveless are a 4-piece rock band that have influences that range from the melodic tension building dynamics of the Pixies, to the crooning testimony of The Smiths.
• FpodBpod weaves the realms of pop, rock, and funk into a soulful blend of sweet weird music.
• Yassou Benedict is a four piece rock band that makes tightly composed pop music with integrity.
