Amoeba Music: Free In-Store Mini Concerts

Gloss is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist and visual artist who combines funk and indie rock sensibilities with electronic sequencing to create lush danceable soundscapes that straddle the line between analog and digital.

He’s a guitar-playing disciple of The Meters’ Leo Nocentelli and The Smiths’ Johnny Marr. He’s a DJing disciple of Todd Terje and J Dilla. It’s a strange brew, but somehow it works. Expect to hear head- and hip-swinging sets augmented with live instrumentation, typically missing in a DJ set.
