Event Details

Thanks to its Celtic roots, Galicia is the one region of Spain with a firm Halloween tradition. Known locally as Samaín, the holiday involves witches, flaming cocktails served in pumpkin bowls, and all the other cheesy spooky stuff to make it feel like Halloween without us needing to veer too off-brand for El Lopo.

$3 Estrella Galicia lagers for anyone mentioning Funcheap

In the northwest corner of Iberia, Galicia is a cooler, greener, and wetter version of Spain with its own language and cultural identity. It’s the perfect climate for crisp and salty white wines, light and acidic reds, content and well-fed pigs and cows, and briny and fatty seafood. So it’s no sacrifice for us to go full-gallego with the food, drinks, and activities all weekend.
Expect the long-awaited return of our Galician empanada, a satellite bar in Lower Polk Plaza, games and schwag giveaways from beer brand Estrella Galicia, and a constantly-brewing cauldron of a brandy-coffee concoction called queimada.
There’s no cost to attend, but a limited number of table reservations are available through Tock with a deposit.
