Event Details

Most people have only seen Persian miniatures in a museum, behind glass and five centuries old. Feruz Temirov paints them now, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, on paper made from mulberry bark and burnished with stone until it shines. Gallery founder Max Khusid, who traveled to Bukhara to meet him, gives a 45-minute talk on how the paintings are made and who the figures in them are. Fifteen seats. The $10 comes off anything you buy. Also offered Saturday, September 26 at 2pm.
