Event Details

EyeEm, a photo community and marketplace, is hosting a global photo meetup and San Francisco’s edition will take place on a Treasure Island from noon to 2 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Come by and learn all about the truths and myths of local (non) pirates and the fascinating stories lurking in this isle of treasure. They’ll hand out treasure maps to pinpoint the most exciting areas for your photo explorations, and lastly, you’ll print and hang your favorite photos for all to see.

All cameras welcome. They’ll have USB cords, a laptop and printer for printing, but if you need something special to transfer photos, bring it along.

Schedule:

  • Noon – A talk & tour with Brianna Jilson of the Treasure Island Museum.
  • 12:45 pm – The photowalk. Explore the isle with their treasure map.
  • 2:30 pm – Pop-up gallery (Location TBD). Come make a free print of your favorite photo of the day & hang it for an on-the-spot gallery show. Drinks and bites are promised. Featured local photographers will be attending and showing a selection of their own photography in our pop-up gallery. They are Ken Walton, Jaclyn Le, Carlo Velasquez, Cielo de la Paz, and Casey Catelli.

Free parking is available at Building One (the semicircular building) at the Treasure Island Museum and the island is also accessible by Muni line 25.
