Global Rally to End China’s Dog & Cat Meat Trade | Union Square

On February 19, 2015 from 11 am to 2 pm, Duo Duo Animal Welfare Project will be rallying in San Francisco’s Union Square in efforts to stop China’s dog and cat meat trade.

It is a couple of weeks before the National People’s Congress (NPC), the supreme organ of state power in China, convene for their annual meeting where it occurs. During that meeting, the representatives meet to discuss bills presented for evaluation. A strong message must be sent from abroad to show international support for Chinese animal activists and enforcement and the adoption of laws protecting pets.
