With the start of a new decade, San Francisco is commemorating the 150th anniversary of Golden Gate Park (GGP 150). Can’t wait and looking for an event to help kick-off the celebration?

Come on out and join us in planting 150 trees in Golden Gate Park, on Tuesday, Jan 28, 2020 at 11 am.

The GGP 150 kick-off event will include a press conference followed by the planting of 150 trees, a gift from music legend Paul Simon.

More than 150 community supporters are expected, leaders of San Francisco’s cultural institutions, and park volunteers to participate in the tree planting project as a tribute to John McLaren, the visionary horticulturalist who made Golden Gate Park rise from the sand dunes.
