Join us as the SF Green Film Festival (September 24-29) takes over the wharf. This unique co-curated evening event will guide guests over a fog bridge across the water and through a labyrinth of interactive eco-art exhibits — with indoor and outdoor screenings of local and Swiss films, talks, drinks, music, and live cinema. The evening includes the USA Premiere of Nature’s Nickelodeons, the West Coast Premiere of the immersive installation Walden, and a series of six Swiss shorts.
In light of the current Amazon rainforest fires, Daniel Zimmermann’s Walden (2018) could not be a more urgent reminder of the devastating consequences of our economies on the environment, and the need to rethink our current political and economic systems. In addition, six short films will take the center stage, and appear on individual screens for private viewing through 10pm.
RSVP – Entry to swissnex San Francisco for this program is free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is presented as part of the Exploratorium’s “After Dark” event —access to additional “After Dark” programming requires a ticket purchase through the Exploratorium
