Event Details

At 8 pm on February 15, 2014, Bay Area creative music trio Grex plays a special benefit concert to celebrate the release of their first album on the new Brux label: Monster Music. The entirety of the proceeds of this concert–including album sales–will go to benefit a medical mission to aid victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Carles, Iloilo (PHL).

The band’s fun, endlessly surprising sound has drawn comparisons to English Prog Rock like Henry Cow and The Cardiacs and noise rock like Sonic Youth and The Velvet Underground.

Joining Grex for this concert will be Beepʼs Michael Coleman and his outre funk band Enjoyer, plus the debut performance of Wiener Kids’ drummer Jordan Glennʼs new piece for “double” chamber ensemble.
