Event Details

There’s all kinds of cool people buried in the San Francisco National Cemetery: a Union spy, an Indian scout, Buffalo Soldiers, and–among the 28,000 U.S. Servicemen (and servicewomen) buried–thirty-five of those received the nation’s highest military decoration: the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Dress warmly for this free one-mile walking tour of the Cemetery led by National Park Service docent Galen Dillman. Call to reserve a spot; rain cancels.

  • Free, but reservations required; phone (415) 561-4323
Please note that these events can often fill up weeks in advance.
  • Meet docent Galen Dillman at the Cemetery Gate, Sheridan Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
