Event Details

Wow! In just 4 blocks there are over 15 venues with more than 11,000 seats! SF is famous for being the birthplace of flower-power rock. But it is also home to the nation’s oldest professional ballet company, is the setting for world class jazz festivals, and has a venerable opera company and a multi-Grammy winning symphony — all with homes located here. Hear SF’s unique history of these performing arts and learn about the mix of classical to contemporary architectural styles showcasing the area’s changes.  Grab a ticket for a performance after the walk!!
