Event Details

Wow! In just 4 blocks there are over 15 venues with more than 11,000 seats! SF is famous for being the birthplace of flower-power rock. But it is also home to the nation’s oldest professional ballet company, is the setting for world class jazz festivals, and has a venerable opera company and a multi-Grammy winning symphony — all with homes located here. Hear SF’s unique history of these performing arts and learn about the mix of classical to contemporary architectural styles showcasing the area’s changes.  Lunch in Hayes Valley after and grab a ticket for a performance!!
