Sadly, our beaches are getting trashed. No one has the job to clean them up. It shouldn’t be up us, but it is. We have to do what we can to maintain some of the most beautiful and special places on earth, until the National Parks can figure it out. Should children play in trash and broken glass? Should dogs and other animals be eating cigarette butts? Should plastics be going into the ocean? Should people be littering like this? No.

-What to bring: mask/cloth face covering, gloves, 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer (we’ll have some), grabbers (see below for purchase options, we will also have a limited amount to use), 2 separate collection receptacles (if you have plastic bags at home those will work too)

Here is a grabber you can get for only $7. Very Useful for lots of things including trash on the beach. Partial proceeds will support the event. Other grabber styles we recommend for a little more a 2 Pack here $18.99, or single foldable style for $9.88. You can also wear gloves and use your hands. Some people use kitchen tongs, these are great for picking up micro plastics.

-Our recent August Beach Clean Up was awesome and we look forward to sharing in this good will experience with you. There is easy Parking for Cars and Bikes, Bus access. We recommend using the bathroom before you venture out to the beach. Please remain socially distant and 6 feet from other people. You are responsible for your own health, well being and are aware of the risks of leaving your house in 2020.
