Event Details

This is an show in the Golden Gate District of Oakland that features man and woman’s best friend – the cat. There will be paintings, music, cat adoptions and other cat stuff.

Expect to see a lot of tiny (miniature) paintings of cats, and even a chandelier covered with cat art. Colin Hurley is an artist who paints a lot of cat paintings and he is curating the show. There is a great deal of other painters in this show including Ben Kish who designed the flyer.

At 5:30 pm, Bill Owens is going to read a writing of his, followed by a raffle for a box of Artist Junk, and a dance party. There will be more surprises as well.

They may have food; they may not. You’ll just have to see… but that’s not the point of a cat art show, is it? Bring yourself and bring your cat (yes, the organizers are encouraging this, although as cat lovers, we at Funcheap aren’t so sure about that idea). Presented by Firehouse Artist Collective.
