2026 Juneteenth Festival at Oakland Museum of CA

Celebrate Juneteenth at the Oakland Museum of California with a full day of live music, food, art, dancing, and community programming honoring Black culture, creativity, and resilience.

OMCA’s annual Juneteenth festival transforms the museum campus into a lively celebration featuring performances from local and nationally recognized artists, DJ sets throughout the day, Black-owned food vendors, artisan makers, hands-on activities, and special gallery experiences.

Highlights include live performances by Chicago rapper Saba, soul line dancing, turf dance lessons, Juneteenth-inspired art projects, family activities, and a marketplace featuring local Black creatives. Visitors can also explore OMCA’s newest special exhibition, Mildred Howard: Poetics of Memory, plus enjoy special talks and gallery chats focused on Black history, identity, and artistic expression.

Food vendors include favorites such as alaMar, Mela Bistro, Cocobreeze, Pound Bizness, and Town Fare Cafe serving a variety of Pan-African and Black diasporic cuisine.
