First Hike of the Year: Armstrong Redwoods | North Bay

Ring in the New Year with some of the wildest and most experienced revelers of all – the California Armstrong Redwoods in Guerneville on the first hike of the year on January 1, 2015.

This family-friendly hike will meet at 10 am at the Visitor’s Center and go until 12 pm. Guests will be treated to a fun and easy walk under the magnificent old growth redwood trees with stops to view the rushing waters of Fife Creek. The hike will be led by experienced Stewards docents.

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring a water bottle and snacks. All ages welcome. The hike is free, but donations to Stewards are encouraged.
