History for Half Pints (the kid kind, not the drinking kind) is a monthly family day at the California Historical Society in San Francisco, featuring music, games and of course, history.
The family day takes place every second Saturday of the month and is free with an RSVP, or if you’re a CHS member.

CANCELLED: History for Half Pints: Family Music & Games | California Historical SocietyJoin the Family programming celebrating the newest exhibition, Experiments in Environment: The Halprin Workshops, 1966-1971. There will be a dance class with The Anata Dance Project at 12 pm.
Ages 3-9 welcome. Parents are encouraged to attend with younger children.
Explore elements of creative movement through self- expression and play. Join Claudia Anata for a 30 minute class focused on developing self awareness, problem solving skills and fun through movement exploration. The class will begin with a rigorous and engaging warm up and progress to group choreography centered around mindful performance practices.
- Build San Francisco Project: What would the San Francisco of the future look like? Work together to build it and use reusable and recycled materials
- Add to the Hippie Mural: Last month they created a hippie inspired mural with the designs of the era. So come add your own 1960s inspired touch to our ongoing mural
- Celebrate Lunar New Year (year of the monkey) by making a red lantern and New Year Drum
