Event Details

Come and join us for the first event of the 2015 season which will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Harris Lass House and its 24th year as a house museum.  This is a free event.

The festivities will begin at 10 am and the dedication ceremony for the refurbished Heritage Orchard will be at 11 am.  After two years of hard work, we now have a representation of the fruit orchards that made the Santa Clara Valley world – famous.  City officials, project workers, and museum volunteers who have worked hard to complete this venture will be acknowledged for their efforts.

Docent tours of the house will be available featuring a special year-long exhibit showcasing the Lass family’s musical instruments.  Visitors can enjoy the results of the ongoing restoration work in the grounds, including the recently refurbished rose garden made possible by a generous donation from the late Ray Edinger in memory of his wife, Margie.

Visitors will also be able to view the museum’s documentary, “The Last Harvest” in the barn classroom.  This 30-minute DVD chronicles the history of the house and family that once called it home.

The Tank House Gift Shop will be open for your shopping pleasure – and ice cream will be served!
