Event Details

Táncház is a Hungarian and Transylvanian tradition involving dancing to live folk music in individuals’ homes. Come learn dances commonly played during a Táncház or just improvise by yourself.

See performances by Eszterlánc Hungarian Folk Ensemble, Mazsola Children’s Ensemble, and Tihanyi Laci. Dance through the evening with Forrás, a Táncház band.

2015 Táncház Schedule:

  • 3 pm: Children’s Workshop
  • 4 pm: Adult’s Workshop (Children’s arts and crafts)
  • 5 pm: Dinner – Enjoy traditional Hungarian food and drink (for purchase)
  • 6 pm: Mini-lecture
  • 6:30 pm: Mini-Concert
  • 8 pm: Táncház
