2017 Illuminate SF: Festival of LightSan Francisco Travel Association
Don your most brilliant lighted gear and wearable art for an evening of illuminated pageantry.
Join fellow light art enthusiasts for an open-top guided tour throughout downtown San Francisco with Big Bus Tours as part of Illuminate SF Festival of Light. Get a birds eye view while you experience several of San Francisco’s public light art installations including the iconic, The Bay Lights, the pulsating pianos of “… and my room still rocks like a boat on the sea” (Caruso’s Dream), catch new installations hidden in alleyways, and don’t miss temporary installations like, Buckyball at the Exploratorium scheduled to leave in early 2018.
Be among the first to learn about the new light artworks coming to the city in 2018
Free but RSVP is Required – This is a free, private sightseeing tour with very limited capacity, registration is necessary.
Tours begin at 6 pm sharp on the plaza of the Exploratorium in front of Buckyball. Look for SF Travel’s illuminated Cultural Concierge who will check in and welcome registered tour attendees.
This is an open-top bus tour that begins and ends at the Exploratorium. The last light art stop on the open-top bus tour will be at the corner of Market and Ninth streets for anyone who prefers to take advantage of the nearby Civic Center BART or Muni stop.
