“Impeach on the Beach” Human Banner | Ocean Beach

This totally free, totally peaceful, family-friendly event is a “Human Banner” that will be filmed from a helicopter. Imagery from similar past events has gone viral immediately, and has provided news organizations with artwork that has influenced state, national, and international reporting, sometimes for years.

Come to this event and you will stand a very good chance of seeing (a very small version of) yourself on the news that day and evening or in the paper the next day.

Impeach on the Beach is a collaboration between the group Indivisible-SF and veteran human banner organizer Brad Newsham. Attendees show up, take an instructional flyer from a volunteer, follow instructions, go with the flow, find a spot inside the lettering that will have already been etched in sand on the beach; maybe sing a song or two; and wait for the helicopter that will be overhead at noon. The word IMPEACH will be spelled out in capital letters stretching 610 feet down the sand.
