Event Details

Come for two movies and give a little to buy poor kids some pediatric wheelchairs.

The Children’s Variety Preview Room is showing—in its intimate theater right off the Montgomery BART station—the Comic Con favorite Batman: Dead End and the sci-fi thriller Hunter Prey. Free popcorn given away, cash bar for the thirsty ones with proceeds going to charity.

Meet the Director: Sandy Collora of Batman: Dead End

SF in SF is delighted to welcome the filmmaker and director of the short Batman film for a special evening of Q & A, meet & greet, autographing.

This is a one-of-a-kind event – we promise you won’t be disappointed. Come ask the director about filmmaking, good old-fashioned thrilling science fiction, Comic-Con, and what’s it like to be an auteur.

Both films knocked ’em dead at Comic-Con – professional fan filmmaking taken to a high art, with a great plot, creativity and lots of science fiction (not to mention the amazing weapon and costume designs). Film director and comic book writer Kevin Smith called BATMAN: DEAD END “possibly the truest, best Batman movie ever made.”

DVDtalk.com points out that “At the very least, “Hunter Prey” will entertain you, but it will also remind you beyond the big budget Hollywood excess, there are still those willing to break their backs to get their vision on the big (or small) screen.”

[ NOTE: This event has changed. It formerly featured the movie Inception but director Sandy Collora offered to present his awesome movie so we obliged. ]
