I.L.A.M is an acronym for “Independent Like A M#fuka,” so if you were thinking it stood for “I Like Apple Marmalade” or “Igloos Live in Alaska Ma’am” you’d be wrong. Super wrong. Watch these two independent MFs take the stage at Brick and Mortar for a night of hip-hopping so hard, you’ll have their beats in your head until after you take the tree down.
The I.L.A.M take the I very seriously too, pressing their own CDs/DVDs in-house, designing their own art, printing their own promo, and even running their own independent hip hop magazine called the I.L.A.M. Hip Hop Pages. Take your independent self, or a co-dependent friend, for a night you won’t soon forget.
