UPDATE: On October 30th, San Francisco decided to pause the further reopenings that were planned for November 3rd. Museums are still able to be open at 25% capacity but can’t open further to the planned 50% capacity until further notice.
According to a press release from the San Francisco Mayor on October 20th, now that San Francisco’s COVID cases are trending in the right direction and the city has been assigned to the State’s Yellow tier, museums, zoos and aquariums in San Francisco are now allowed to increase their indoor capacity to 50% of normal starting on November 3rd.

Indoor museums were originally allowed open on September 21st at 25% capacity.
