Join the 8th Annual Intersecting Identities Conference for a day of thought-provoking discussions about bullying and stereotyping with featured speakers well-known body image expert Virgie Tovar and renowned poet Noemi Sohn on March 21, 2013.
This year’s themes, “Keeping up with the Joneses” and “I Just Look ___,” hope to bring to light the many ways people are both expected to conform to society’s superficial standards and cover up or ignore “undesirable” parts of their identity. The conference’s diverse line-up this year includes two main speakers, a panel, workshop and book release.
The Intersecting Identities Conference builds bridges among many different communities and promotes understanding and acceptance by sharing stories and personal experiences of oppression.
