This 75 minute class will be an introduction to the taiji/qigong practice of Chan Si Gong (Silk-Reeling Exercises) and Wuji Qigong (Standing Meditation).
The Silk-Reeling Exercises are relaxed circular and spiraling movements from the Chen Taiji tradition. These exercises work to energetically lubricate and coordinate the root, waist, spine, and upper torso, and integrate all parts with the body’s physical and energetic center, helping to promote harmonious energy flow through the different energy centers and meridians in the body, improving one’s health and overall well-being. In the event of rain, this class will be held in the Library Community Room.
