Event Details

As you scan the Internet right now, likely sitting in a warm, comfy room with calorie-dense food a couple steps or clicks away. It’s easy to forget all that the forebears endured to make this moment possible, facing the the cold, starvation and predators.

Luckily lives are easier, but many lost much of the resilience and balance in modern times. The Wim Hof method, which involves cold water immersion and deep breathing exercises, is a powerful way to reawaken the inner resilience, reconnect with nature, and rebalance the stress response.

At this friendly, welcoming meetup, open to everyone, including total beginners, start with a group breathing exercise and meditation followed by an optional dip in the bay. You don’t need to be a good swimmer as we often wade pretty close to shore.

Meet in front of the Maritime Museum at Aquatic Park, right by the beach. Please bring swimwear, a towel, and some warm clothes for after.
