Italian Film Series Tribute: Vincenzo Cerami
Vincenzo Cerami, who died July 2013, was a novelist, an associate of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and the screenwriter for over 40 Italian films, including several starring Roberto Benigni. Among these are La Vita è Bella, Il Mostro, and La Tigre e la Neve.
Enjoy a film series tribute to him with screenings of these three films, and see for yourself why Cerami will be so greatly missed. The screenings begin at 6:30 pm.
Enjoy a free screening of The Monster, a comedy starring Roberto Benigni as Loris, a landscape gardener and shop window decorator whose unfortunate habit of being caught in compromising situations leads him to become the prime suspect for a totally unrelated series of murders.
It’s considered a genuinely hilarious, if somewhat risqué film.
Free, but an RSVP is required to ensure a seat.
Please note, the film will be shown in Italian with English subtitles.
