Everyone is welcome, cars are not required. Bring your family, bring your camera and bring a picnic lunch or BBQ. Their permit is very strict and does not allow vendors or amplified music.
Bringing an old car? All vehicles must be from 1993 or older year and no larger than 3/4 ton pickup. No other vehicles are allowed on the meadow. Please note, there will be no exceptions and no ins and outs.
The picnic started in 1988 when classic car-loving friends got together in Golden Gate Park to celebrate Jimmy O’Keefe’s birthday. It has since grown into the largest and longest running show of its kind in San Francisco and includes cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all types, as well as a good number of oddballs.
