Three films. One powerful evening exploring what becomes possible when communities organize to bring their people home from women’s prisons.

Presented by the nonprofits UnCommon Law, the California Coalition for Women Prisoners (CCWP), and the UC Sentencing Project, the evening will feature three short films:

  • Sol in the Garden
  • Free Joan Little
  • No Time to Wait

Following the screening, we will host a Q&A with Sol Mercado, Yoruba Richen, and Chisa Hughes to discuss incarceration, race, aging, gender, and freedom. Colby Lenz, UnCommon Law’s Director of Policy and Advocacy, will moderate the conversation.
