King of the County BBQ Competition & Music Festival (Martinez)

This popular FREE community event offers FUN for the entire FAMILY! King of the County draws 10,000+ attendees from all over the Diablo Valley, East Bay, Solano County and San Francisco Bay Area to enjoy BBQ, live music from top local bands, arts and crafts booths and commercial exhibitors, carnival rides, more eclectic food vendors, beer, wine and craft brews and a backyard barbecue competition!

This year we have added a large section of carnival rides for kids and the entire family to enjoy. Ticket packages and wristbands for rides will be available to purchase on-site, however EARLY BIRD pre-sale of 1 day, ALL DAY wristbands offers you a savings of $10.00 and saves you from having to wait in the lines to purchase ride tickets. Hours of the event are Friday, June 16th from 5-9pm, Saturday, June 17th from 11-8PM and Sunday, June 18th from 11-6PM. A selection of BEER and/or CRAFT BEER and WINE will also be available. Alcoholic beverage purchase will require proof of ID and purchase of 2 Drink Tickets & 1 Commemorative Glass. Purchase your 2 Drink Tickets & 1 Commemorative Glass in advance for an EARLY BIRD pre-sale promotional discount ,for a savings of $5.00. Pick up at WILL CALL and save yourself the lines. All sales are final, non-refundable and non transferrable. ID required for each individual per glass picked-up at Will-Call.

Saturday and Sunday Backyard Barbecue Teams from near and far will compete for the coveted title of King of the County. Awards include cash prizes, trophies, swag, and bragging rights! Our competition draws between 30-40 Backyard Barbecue Teams over the 2-day competition on Sat & Sun.
