Event Details

Who is your favorite woman superhero? KQED and The Marsh celebrate Women’s Heritage Month with a screening Wonder Women: The Untold Story of American Superheroines which traces the fascianting evolution and legacy of Wonder Woman.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

From the birth of the comic book superheroine in the 1940s to the present blockbusters of today Wonder Women looks at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation. Stay for a panel discussion after the film screening. Light snacks and drinks will be served (probably complimentary, but bring a few bucks just in case).

Dress up as your favorite woman heroine and you could win some KQED swag.
