Experience a showcase of original media pieces that reflect how a group of youth artists see themselves in the world.

KQED Education’s Youth Media Challenges invite middle and high schoolers to make their voices heard by sharing their view of the world, or envisioning a better future. Past challenges have generated original podcasts, dances, political cartoons, engineering projects, and election coverage.

November’s event will center around the origin stories of young media makers, playing off of the premise of NPR’s “How I Built This with Guy Raz” podcast, which weaves a narrative journey about innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists-and the movements they built. Students will be in conversation talking about how they found their voice, including what inspires creation and how they produced their piece.
