Event Details

Rock the Bike is doing a cooking show with free delicious organic ice cream for kids on March 22nd, featuring guest gourmet pastry chef, Kate Zuckerman, author of The Sweet Life, owner of Sweet Cycle Brooklyn, and former pastry chef at Chanterelle Restaurant.

Free, but an RSVP is required on Eventbrite.

Rock the Bike is seeking kids and foodies, especially kids aged 7-12, with their parents or guardians to come churn, learn about, and taste this delicious organic pedal powered ice cream. Two recipes: one pre-made dairy custard, one instant / vegan.

The cooking show will demonstrate:

1) how to make homemade ice cream featuring Chef Kate Zuckerman’s knowledge for sustainable organic ingredients,

2) how to use a bicycle powered ice cream machine,

3) how to make sustainable choices for the health of our environment and our bodies.

Spots are limited to up to twenty kids. First come first serve.
Kids will be included in their video. Here’s an example of a past video they’ve produced in this “Pedal Powered Foods” cooking show series.
