Renowned investigator Lemony Snicket (pen name of SF author Daniel Handler) has compiled 29 myths about the bewildering establishment, Swinster Pharmacy, in the vain hope that he could help shine some light on this enduring mystery.
$5 ticket gets you priority seating beginning at 2:15 pm. There may be free standing room at the event, but they won’t know until the day of.
To properly celebrate, there will be Ice Cream Bar’s Melancholy Sour Phosphate for everyone who purchases a copy of 29 Myths at The Booksmith this afternoon.
Your tickets are also good for $5 off an in-store purchase of 29 Myths on the Swinster Pharmacy at The Booksmith today or up to 3/23/14. (Multiple tickets can combine).
Lemony Snicket had an unusual education and a perplexing youth and now endures a despondent adulthood. His previous accounts and research have been collected and published as books, including those in A Series of Unfortunate Events, 13 Words, The Composer Is Dead, and his new series, All The Wrong Questions. He frequently stays up late, worrying about some of his books.
Lisa Brown is the bestselling author and/or illustrator of a growing number of books for children, teens and new parents, including How to Be, The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming, and Baby Mix Me a Drink. Her 3 Panel Book Review cartoon ran in the book section of the San Francisco Chronicle. Lisa lives in San Francisco with her son and her husband, who is rumored to be Lemony Snicket.
