Event Details

Enjoy a pint of Anchor Steam Beer with one of America’s most iconic novels: On The Road by Jack Kerouac.

Author Amira K. Makansi will read from her new book Literary Libations: What to Drink with What You Read, a tongue-in-cheek and educational book of drink pairings for famous works of literature.

In a very special collaboration with Anchor Brewing Company, Amira will introduce several of her favorite book-and-drink pairings, focusing on Kerouac’s classic Beat Generation novel, which is best enjoyed while sipping on Steam Beer. A member of the brewing team will discuss the unique brewing process Anchor uses to make Steam Beer. Amira will be signing books and enjoying a pint after the presentation, so come share a brew with the author and learn more about San Francisco’s iconic brewery its flagship beer.
