SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2025
The 2025 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with La Santa Cecilia to kick off its 25th Anniversary Season.
Guest curated by Litquake’s Robin Ekiss, this program features Cheryl Dumesnil, Maw Shein Win, Judy Halebsky, Zubair Ahmed, and special musical guest, orchestral-pop band Fox & Woman.
Cheryl Dumesnil is the author of several books including a poetry collection entitled In Praise of Falling, and a memoir, Love Song for Baby X: How I Stayed (Almost) Sane on the Rocky Road to Parenthood. www.cheryldumesnil.com
Maw Shein Win is a freelancer at the San Francisco Writer’s Grotto. Her latest book of poetry is entitled Ruins of a glittering palace.
Judy Halebsky’s poetry collection Sky=Empty was a finalist for the California Book Award.
Zubair Ahmed is a graduate of Stanford University. His first book, City of Rivers, is part of the McSweeney’s Poetry Series.
Special musical guest Fox & Woman is an orchestral-pop band based in San Francisco.
