Come to Neck of the Woods on Friday, April 5 for a live music night. Music starts at 9:30 pm sharp.
Spanish Guitar by Genie is an electro-acoustic project by San Francisco looping innovator The Genie. It consists primarily of finger-style Spanish guitar interpolations of modern artists such as Radiohead, Bjork, Portishead, Sade, etc., blended with his unique live-looping style. Integrating aspects of jazz and flamenco to his guitar covers, he brings forth sultry interpretations of inspiring songs from iconic artists.
CelloJoe records on stage with a loop pedal and produces intricate tapestries of harmony, melody, and rhythm. His beatboxing and funky cello grooves form a rich soundscape for intelligent lyrics and his music spreads love, joy, laughter and conscious vibrations. Classical Hip Hop.
Obenski’s multi-layered dreamscapes, gripping vocals and lyrics, are all enhanced with Live Looping technology at her feet. You’ll hear drop-dead harmonies with multiple instruments atop her own songs. But at the core of her work is her songwriting. With lyrics about the experience of being human, her music has a way of connecting with pretty much anyone on a deeply personal level.
