Event Details

Global Lives hosts a celebration and sneak preview of “Lives in Transit,” an immersive video series following 10 transit workers for 24 hours.

Enjoy music, dancing, and complimentary appetizers, meet passionate people involved in arts, education, new media, film, and travel, and experience never-before-seen footage on nearly a dozen screens, each following a different transit worker around the world including James Bullock, a cable car brakeman right here in SF.

The event takes place at the Folsom Street Foundry, an historic foundry warehouse.

Party & Sneak Preview for Lives in Transit

  • 7 pm: Doors open for all guests with appetizers for all & drinks at a cash bar
  • 8 pm: Learn about collaborative filmmaking for building empathy
    – Andrew Mahlstedt, teacher & volunteer with the Lives in Transit Nepal shoot
    – Naomi Ture, filmmaker & producer of the Vietnam shoot
    – Nicki Pfaff, teacher using Global Lives video to build empathy in her classroom
  • 9:30 pm: Party on with music, dancing with DJs Hey Man!, Soniker, & Duser
