SF’s “Kite by the Bay” Festival in the Park 2025

September 6, 2025 – SF (Candlestick Park) – FREE – Soar colorful kites against the bay breeze at Kite By The Bay, a free community day of kite-flying, ocean views, and family fun at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area.

Opera in the Park 2025

September 7, 2025 – SF (Robin Williams Meadow, Golden Gate Park) – FREE – Upwards of 15,000 bring their picnic blankets and wine to the park for this annual free outdoor concert by the San Francisco Opera for a delightful afternoon of arias, duets and more performed by the stars of the fall season. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of this beloved Bay Area tradition.

46th Annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair

September 7, 2025 – SF (Haight) – FREE – The annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair brings thousands of people to Haight Street between Stanyan and Masonic to shop over 200 outdoor vendors including food, green businesses, local artists, clothing, crafts, non-profits and more plus two stages of live music.

SF’s Massive Free “Poolside Daytime Disco” DJ Party

September 7, 2025 – SF (Union Square) – FREE – Dance in the sunshine at the debut of Poolside’s Daytime Disco in Union Square, a free outdoor party led by Jeffrey Paradise bringing laid-back beats, summer vibes, and their signature “Daytime Disco” sound to San Francisco.

Bizerkeley Food Festival 2025

September 7, 2025 – Berkeley – FREE – Dig into the Bay Area’s biggest vegan event at the 5th annual Bizerkeley Food Festival, with 100+ vendors, live music, games, a fashion show, and family-friendly fun at the North Berkeley BART Station.

2025 Flower Piano: 12 Hidden Pianos in GG Park

September 12-21, 2025 – SF (Golden Gate Park) – FREE for SF residents – For 10 days, Flower Piano will once again transform San Francisco Botanical Garden for the 10th year into the city’s own alfresco concert hall where everyone is invited to play and listen.

September 13, 2025 – SF (Mission Dist.) – FREE – Fiesta de la Américas celebrates the culture, arts and music found from Patagonia to the Arctic Circle, with a particular focus on people of the Latino diaspora who have made San Francisco their home for generations. with festive Folkoric dancing, live music and more.

September 13, 2025 – SF (Civic Center) – FREE – Celebrate EMPIRE’s 15th anniversary with a free all-ages concert at Civic Center Plaza featuring Shaboozey, Fireboy DML, Red Leather, food trucks, vendors, and giveaways.

SF’s 44th Annual Comedy Day 2025

September 14, 2025 – SF (Golden Gate Park) – FREE – San Francisco’s original, longest-running, free, outdoor comedy concert in the world, Comedy Day in the Park is back to celebrate its 43rd anniversary with a five-hour free comedy show in the park with over 50 comedians.

September 14, 2025 – SF (FiDi) – FREE – Celebrate Oktoberfest with steins of beer, German bites, live music, games, and a lively street party in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

September 18, 2025 – Concert & San Jose – FREE – Enjoy a nostalgic night under the stars with free movies, music, games, $2 nachos, and family fun at West Wind Drive-In’s Free Movie Night in Concord and San Jose.

2025 San Francisco Greek Festival

September 19-21, 2025 – SF (Mission Dist) – FREE – “A Taste of Greece” returns for its 74th year with aromas of freshly made Spanakopita, Moussaka, Gyros, plus live Greek music and dancing.

SF’s Muni Heritage Weekend 2025

September 20-21, 2025 – SF (Embarcadero) – FREE – The annual Muni Heritage Weekend is an opportunity to ride special vintage transit vehicles that are rarely seen on the streets of San Francisco including vintage buses and the beloved Blackpool Boat Tram. Plus rides on all these streetcars will be FREE all weekend.

September 27, 2025 – SF (Presidio) – FREE – The Annual Chuseok Festival is the Bay Area’s largest public event celebrating, showcasing, and promoting Korean culture, cuisine, music, arts, and community. Free National Parks Day 2025
