Seven Minutes of Terror is the video of the landing of the Mars rover, Curiosity, narrated by Adam Steltzner, which showed how the “sky crane” his team designed at JPL would have to perform an elaborate, impossible-seeming sequence to lower the huge rover to the planet’s surface from a hovering rocket guided totally by artificial intelligence.

Come hear Steltzner talk about the experience and about what might come next for us humans and our Earth. Presented by The Long Now Foundation.
