Event Details

Emeryville Taiko, under the direction of Sensei Susan Horn, is intensely focused on developing new directions in Taiko. Initiated under the guidance of Grand Master Seiichi Tanaka, founder of San Francisco Taiko Dojo, the ensemble utilizes the art of Japanese drumming to enhance the quality of the educational and cultural life of the community at large. Emeryville Taiko teaches performance skills to its students and promotes performances in schools, community events, festivals and local theaters in the Bay Area.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary season The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for 2010 features 100 events, including classical and jazz concerts, opera, international music events, theater, dance, children and family programs, visual art exhibits, educational programs and cultural events.
